Ingredients

  • 4 cod steaks, about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons low fat plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Preparation

Step 1

Pat the fish dry with paper towels. Combine the yogurt and lime juice and brush lightly over both sides of fish.

Stir together the garlic, spices and herbs. Coat both sides of fish with the seasoning mix, rubbing in well.

Spray a ridged broiler pan with non-stick cooking spray. Heat until very hot. Add fish and cook over high heat for 4 minutes, or until undersides are well browned.

Turn the steaks over and cook another 4 minutes or until cooked through. Serve immediately.

Accompany with new potatoes and a mixed salad.
