Gluten Free Au Gratin Potato Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 30 oz package Mr. Dells frozen shredded has brown potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup whipped cream (I added about 1/4 cup more)
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth (progresso brand is gluten free)
  • 2-4 tbl butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions

Preparation

Step 1

Saute the onions in the butter. Combine broth, cream, salt and pepper. Pour over potatoes along with the onions. Spread half of potatoes in prepared pan. Spread layer with 2 cups of cheese. Spread last half of potatoes over the cheese. I stir the potatoes while cooking and then add teh last 1/2 cup of cheese over the top to melt/brown about the last 1/2 hour of baking.
Bake at 375 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
