Ingredients
- 1 1/2-Pound (12 Slices):
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 2 T butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/3 cups Gold Medal™ Better for Bread™ flour
- 1 1/3 cups Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
- 1 cup 7-grain or multigrain hot cereal (uncooked)
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
- 2-Pound (16 Slices):
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ Better for Bread™ flour
- 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
- 1 1/4 cups 7-grain or multigrain hot cereal (uncooked)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast*
- Tips:
- You'll find 7-grain cereal in the hot cereal section of your supermarket or at a natural-foods or co-op store.
- Note: The same amount of yeast is needed for both the 1 1/2-pound and 2-pound recipes.

Step 1
Make 1 1/2-pound recipe with bread machines that use 3 cups flour, or
Make 2-pound recipe with bread machines that use 4 cups flour.
1. Measure carefully, placing all ingredients in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
2. Select Basic/White cycle. Use Medium or Light crust color. Remove baked bread from pan; cool on cooling rack.
