Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs

  • 12 eggs
  • water to cover

Preparation

Step 1

1. Carefully place eggs in a saucepan. Add just enough cold water to cover eggs an inch above. Put lid on pan.
2. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Remove lid and continue to boil for exactly 7 minutes.
3. Drain eggs and immediately cover with cold tap water.
4. When cool to the touch, tap eggs gently on all sides to crack shells. Remove shells under running water.
