Ingredients
- Filling:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 green pepper, chopped (1 cup)
- 3-11 oz cans chunky chili beef soup
- 2 cans water
- Topping:
- 27 saltine crackers, finely crushed, (1 cup)
- 2 tbs baking powder
- 1/4 c butter
- 3 eggs beaten
- 3/4 c milk
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
In lrg skillet brown hamburger and green peppers. Drain. Stir in soup, bring to a boil, civer and simmer 10 mins. In bowl combine crackers and baking powder. Using pastry blender or fork cut in butter. Add eggs, milk and cheese. Stir until blended. in 9"x13" shallow baking dish, pour hot chili mixture Spread cracker mixture over evenly. Bake 20-30 min, or until lightly brown.
