Garden Wild Rice

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup wild rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 1 cup sliced mushroom
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup peas, thawed
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Rinse rice in 3 changes hot water. Drain. Bring to boil with water and bouillion. Cover and simmer 50 mins. Drain.

2. Saute celery-onion in oil.

3. Add rice, peas, and thyme. Heat through. Blend in cheese.

Notes: Add in white rice as well
