Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 sticks margarine, softened or 1 cup butter flavored Crisco sticks
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pkg miniature Reeces peanut butter cup candies

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Combine flour, soda, and salt; set aside.

In large bowl beat shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Stir in dry ingredients.

Unwrap peanut butter cups and cut each piece into four pieces. Add to cookie dough and stir together.

Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets and bake for 12-15 minutes until they are light golden brown. Centers may be pale and a little soft. Let stand on baking sheets for 1 minute and transfer to racks to cool.
