Bruce's Cheese Cake

Delectable basic cheesecake recipe that you can branch off to create many other types. I've personally made Pumpkin Cheesecake and Oreo Double Stuff Cheesecake with this recipe. It is to die for.

Ingredients

  • Crust:

  • In mixing bowl, add the following:

  • 1

    c sifted plain flour

  • 1

    c chopped pecans

  • 1

    c sifted graham cracker crumbs

  • 1/2

    c sifted confectioners sugar

  • 2

    sticks (1c) melted margarine

  • Filling:

  • 3

    ea 8oz packages of Philadelphia Cream Cheese (softened)

  • 6

    large eggs

  • 1-1/2

    c granulated sugar

  • 4

    tsp vanilla extract

  • Topping:

  • 1

    pt sour cream

  • 3/4

    c granulated sugar

  • 2

    tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Mix crust ingredients with spatula until thoroughly incorporated. Press into bottom of 10" spring form pan (coat ring of pan with a little butter to make turn out easier) In a blender, add filling ingredients and liquefy. Pour over crust and place on center rack of 350° preheated oven. Bake 1 hour. Remove from oven and cool on rack for 10 minutes. Mix topping ingredients in a bowl and pour over cake after the 10 minute cooling period. Place back in oven for 15 minutes. Remove and let cool to near room temp; then place in refrigerator (preferably overnight) to completely set up.
