Ingredients
- 1 cup of light cream or whole milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 ounces Wisconsin Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 small bunch chives, chopped
- 3 teaspoons canola oil
Preparation
Step 1
Mix together the cream, eggs, flour, butter, salt, cayenne, and garlic powder. Add in the cheese and chives and mix together. Let the batter rest at room temperature for one hour.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Heat up your empty popover pan in the oven for about 3-4 minutes. Pull it out and swirl 1/2 of a teaspoon of oil in each container. Divide the batter evenly among the popover holes.
Place the pan in the oven and cook for 15 minutes. Turn the oven down to 350 degrees F and cook for another 20 minutes.
