    cup butter

    cup sugar

  • 1/4

    cup molasses

  • 1

    beaten egg

  • 2

    cup flour

  • 1/4

    teaspoon salt

  • 2

    teaspoon baking soda

  • 1

    teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/2

    teaspoon cloves

  • 1

    teaspoon ginger

Directions

Beat butter, sugar, molasses and egg. Add sifted dry ingredients, mix well. Roll into small balls, dip into sugar. Place 2 " apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375* 15 minutes.
