Ingredients
- 7 to 8 cups flour
- 2 T baking powder
- 1/8 t. baking soda
- 1/2 cup veg. shortening
- 3 T sesame oil
- 3 to 4 cups water
- salt
- 2 bunches green onions, tops only, diced
Preparation
Step 1
In large bowl stir 7 cups flour and baking powder and soda. Add 3 c. water and stir to form soft dough.
Flatten into a rectangle. Finsh with rolling pin until abut 1/2 inch.
Stir veg shortening and sesame oil. Brush entire surface. Fold in half. and roll again. to 1/4 inch. Brush again sprinkle with salt. Cover 2/3 with green onions.
Start rolling from green onion end working to form a long tight roll.
Mark into 12 even portions pinch both ends of the small roll shut. Cup one end in palm. Put right hand on top of roll. Press and Twist. Place between 2 pieces of waxed paper and roll until pancake size and shape.
At this point can be frozen for up to two months. Thaw for 10 min.
Cook in thin coating of veg. oil for 4 min. turn and cookk about 3 min.
