Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 4 whole eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup milk

Step 1
Beat sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla well—about 3 min.
Add flour and milk alternately at low speed.
Bake 350 for 30-35 min in 9x13x2 or two 9” layers.

Chocolate Frosting
3 cups sugar
¾ cups cocoa
¾ cup milk
1 ½ sticks butter
Boil sugar, cocoa, milk and butter for 1 minute.
Beat ‘till good consistency for spreading on cake.
