Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Beat eggs lightly in medium bowl. Add corn syrup, sugar, butter, vanilla and salt; stir until well blended.

Place pecan halves over pastry shell. Pour mixture over top of pecans.

Bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking 35 to 40 minutes or until pie is lightly browned and completely puffed across the top. Cool completely.
