Chocolate Stout Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick butter, room temp
  • 1 bottle (12 oz) stout beer- Guinness
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Whisk together cocoa powder, flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Cream butter and sugar in mixer until fluffy. Add vanilla, then eggs one at a time. Beat well. Add dry ingredients, alternating with stout, in 3 parts. Mix until blended.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, bake for 18 minutes. Do not overfill or cupcakes will explode then sink.
