Ingredients
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
Preparation
Step 1
Cream together margarine and 1/2 c. brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1 c. flour - mix well. Pat into 13 1/2x9x2 in. baking pan. Bake 375 deg. oven 12 minutes.
Mix together remaining 1 c. brown sugar and 1/4 c. flour. Blend in eggs, vanilla and salt. Fold in pecans and coconut. Spread mixture evenly over baked layer. Bake 375 deg. an additional 15 minutes. Cool, cut into bars.
