Ingredients
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 1/4 c. confectioner's sugar
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine,melted
- 4 sq. (1 oz.) each unsweetened
- chocolate, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Add hot water and sugar to chocolate; mix well. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each. Slowly add butter, then vanilla and beat until smooth. If too thin to spread immediately, let stand a few minutes to thicken. Makes enough for 13x9 in. rectangle or two 8 in. cake layers.
