Lebanese Green Beans

Ingredients
- 1 lb. green beans ( fresh or frozen)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups onion, sliced
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pepper to taste
- I can diced tomatoes or tomato paste
- Optional 1/2 lb. stew meat or diced ham

Preparation
Step 1
Lightly brown onions and garlic in oil in a stock pot. (Meat can be added here if desired.)
Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil, then cover and simmer slowly till green beans (and meat if used are tender), about 40-45 minutes. Stir a couple of times.
Check taste and add more spices if desired.
Serve warm.
