Toffee Squares

Ingredients

• 2 sticks margarine
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1 egg yolk
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 12 ounces chips
• 1 cup walnuts or pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Line a 9 x 13 inch pan with parchment.

Cream margarine and sugar. Add egg yolk, vanilla and then flour. Spread in pan. Bake for 25 minutes until set. Sprinkle chips and heat in oven until shiny. Spread chip over crust, then sprinkle with nuts.
