Truffles, Easy Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 package (12 oz) semisweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • walnuts or pecans, ground
  • unsweetened cocoa powder
  • flaked coconut

Preparation

Step 1

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar, beating well until blended. Add melted chocolate and vanilla, mix well.
Refigerate about 1 hour. Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in walnuts, cocoa, or coconut. Store in refrigerator.

Variantion: to flavor truffles with liquors, omit vanilla.
Divide truffle mixture.
Add 1 tablespoon almond, coffee, orange, or rasberry, ect to each mixture; mix well.
