Ingredients

  • 1 c butter or shortening or half and half
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 2 t cream of tartar
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 2 T white sugar
  • 2 T ground cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs. Then add all remaining ingredients, except the 2 T of sugar and cinnamon. Place the 2 T sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and mix. Then roll dough into 1" balls, and then roll each ball in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and place on a cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes until light brown.
