Ingredients

  • 3

    qt. Popped Corn

  • 3

    cups Mixed Unsalted Peanuts

  • 1

    cup firmly packed Brown Sugar

  • 1/2

    cup Karo Light Corn Syrup

  • 1/2

    cup Margarine

  • 1/2

    tsp. Salt

  • 1/2

    tsp. Vanilla

  • 1/2

    tsp. Baking Soda

Directions

In large shallow roasting pan compbine popcorn and nuts. Place in 250 degree oven while preparing glaze. In a heavy 2 quart saucepan stir brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine and salt. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat. Without stirring, boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over popcorn and nuts, stirring to coat well. Bake in 250 degree oven, stirring occasionally, 1 hour. Spread onto wax paper. Cool and break apart. Store in tightly covered container. Makes about 4 quarts.
