Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 2 Tbp sugar
  • 3 Tbp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup soften butter
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon peel

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Arrange apples in buttered baking dish, sprinkle with 2 Tbp of sugar and brown sugar.
Combine flour, lemon peel, salt, cinnamon, remaining sugar and soften butter. Mix until crumbly. Pour mixture over the apples, spreading to edge.
Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown.
