Lemon Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter with sugar.
Beat in eggs and lemon rind
Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
Bake for 45 minutes at 350 F
Mix juice of lemon with 1/2 cup sugar and spoon over loaf when hot from oven.
