Moroccan Meat Cigars

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 5 cloves garlic -- chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 10 ounce packages Chinese spring roll wrappers
  • 2 egg whites

Preparation

Step 1

Saute meat with garlic until cooked, about 10 minutes. Season with cumin, pepper flakes, salt, pepper and curry powder. Set aside to cool. Cut spring roll wrapper in half to create two triangles. Place 1 teaspoon filling along the longest edge of wrapper. Fold in adjacent corners of wrapper and roll longest edge to remaining corner. Seal end with egg white. Fry in oil until golden brown.
