Ingredients
- Carrots sliced
- 2 onions sliced
- 2 celery stalks, cut into 1" pieces
- Whole chicken
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
- 1/2 c water, chicken broth or white wine
- 1/2 t dried basil
Preparation
Step 1
Put carrots, onion, and celery in bottom of crock pot. Place chicken on top of vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and add liquid. Sprinkle basil over the top. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours.
