BLACKBERRY COBBLER

Ingredients

  • 6 c. blackberries
  • Pastry for 2-crust, 9-inch pie
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 6 tbsp. butter

Preparation

Step 1

Wash berries, drain. Grease a 9-inch square baking dish and line with half of the pastry. In a large bowl, combine sugar and flour. Add berries and stir carefully to coat berries. Pour berries and sugar mixture into pastry lined dish. Cut butter into small pieces and dot berries with it. roll out remaining pastry and place on top of berries. Seal edges and cut slits in top of crust. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 50-60 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
