Black Forest Cake

Ingredients

  • 1- 18.25 oz box super moist chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1 2/3 cup chocolate milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cherry pie filling
  • 1- 12 oz- container forzen non daiy whipped topping, thawed
  • marachino cherries for garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 and spary 2- 9 inch cake pans with nonstick baking spray with flour
IN a large bowl, whisk together cake mix, chocolate milk, oil, eggs and cocoa until smooth. divide batter evenly between prepared pans. bake for 20 to 24 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. let cool in pans for 15 minutes. remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks. spread cherry pie filling between layers. spread shipped toping over top and sides of cake (can do sides and one layer with frosting) in a small microwave safe bowl, microwave shocolate bar on high for 10 seconds. use vegetable peeler to form 15 curls. Use cheese grateer to make shavings. genly presee chocolate shavings onto sides and curls w/cherries on top.
