Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked and diced potatoes
- 1/2 cup boiled green peas
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 cup onion rings
- 1 tbsp cashewnuts
- 1/3 cup ready-made tomato puree
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp milk
- a pinch of sugar
- 2 tsp oil
- salt to taste
- For the garnish
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
Preparation
Step 1
Place the sesame seeds on a microwave-proof plate and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute. Set aside.
Combine the oil, cumin seeds and onions in another microwave-proof bowl and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes.
Add the cashews and 1 tablespoon water, mix well and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
Add the tomato purée, garam masala, turmeric and chilli, mix well and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.
Add the potatoes, green peas, sesame seeds, sugar and salt, mix well and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute.
Add the milk, stir once and microwave on HIGH for 1 minute.
Serve hot garnished with coriander.
