Taco Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can diced tomatoes -- (28 ounce) undrained
  • 1 can kidney beans -- (15 1/2 ounce) undrained
  • 1 can whole kernel corn -- (15 1/2 ounce) undrained
  • 1 can tomato sauce -- (8 ounce)
  • 1 cups water -- (1 to 2)
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • Salt and pepper -- to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a Dutch oven or soup pot, cook beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender; drain. Stir in tomatoes, beans, corn, tomato sauce, water and taco seasoning. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
