Ingredients

  • Dry ingredients:

  • 1 2/3

    c. self rising flour

  • 1

    tsp. baking soda

  • 1/2

    tsp. cinnamon

  • 1/4

    tsp. nutmeg

  • 1/2

    c. sugar

  • Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2

    c. oil

  • 1

    egg

  • 1/3

    c. water

  • 1

    c. pumpkin

  • 3/4

    c. chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Make hole in the mixture and add the wet ingredients, except for the chocolate chips. Mix very well with a hand held mixer or free-standing mixer. Add 3/4 c. chocolate chips and hand mix. Pour mixture into loaf pans that have been oiled and lightly floured, to prevent sticking. Bake for approximately one hour. When finished, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar. If you double the recipe, it will make enough batter to full a bundt cake pan.
