Ingredients

  • 5 apples Peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Place apples in a buttered baking dish. Sprinkle spices and lemon juice over fruit. Cream butter, sugar and flour to make a crumb mixture. Sprinkle over apples and bake at 375 for 45 mins. or until apples are tender and top is golden brown. If fruit is dry add a little hot water.
