French Bread Pizza

Ingredients

  • vegetable cooking spray
  • 1 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 (8oz) can no salt added tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 (6 inch) French rolls, split lengthwise
  • 3 oz thinly sliced Canadian bacon
  • 1 cup (4 oz) shredded part skim mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Coat a saucepan with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot. Add onion and garlic; saute until tender. Stir in tomato sauce and next 3 ingredients. Cook over medium heat until heated. Spread sauce over cut side of rolls. Top with bacon and cheese. Place on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 for 6 minutes or until heated.

TO FREEZE: Wrap each unbaked pizza in heavy-duty aluminum foil. Freeze up to 2 weeks.

TO SERVE TWO: Unwrap 2 frozen pizzas, and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
