Ingredients
- 6 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 3/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- BROWN SUGAR TOPPING
- 1 1/2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Butter 9 1/2 inch deep-dish pie pan. Toss apples, raisins, brown sugar, flour, water, and cinnamon in large bowl. Spoon into prepared pan. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
For topping: Blend brown sugar, flour and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Bake until brown and bubbly, 50 minutes.
I serve hot with ice cream.
