5 Minute Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2/3 c. undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. (4oz) miniature marshmellows
  • 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (milk chocolate may be used, depending on personal preference)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

-Combine butter, evaporated milk, sugar and salt in saucepan over medium heat.

-Bring to a boil. Cook 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly. Start timing when mixture starts to "bubble" around the edges of the pan.

-Remove from heat. Stir in marshmellows, chocolate chips, vanilla and nuts. Stir vigorously for one minute (until marshmellows melt and blend)

-Pour into 8 inch square buttered pan. Cool. Cut into squares.
