Ingredients

  • 1 16oz pkg pork sausage
  • 2 14oz cans chicken broth
  • 1 15oz can black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 14 1/2oz can golden hominy (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 14 1/2oz can mexican style stewed tomatoes (I use Rotel)
  • 1 cup frozen hash brown
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed

Step 1

In a large saucepan brown sausage, drain off fat. Stir in broth, and remaining ingredients. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
