Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. cocoa powder
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 salt
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp. melted butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Topping: 1 cup hot water & 1/2 cup choc. syrup.

Step 1
350 oven. Coat an 8X8" square pan. Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt & walnuts in a large bowl. Stir in the milk, butter & vanilla until blended. Scrape the batter into the pan.
Topping: Stir together water & syrup; pour over the cake batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min. Cool in pan 20 min. Cut into squares. Serve syrup side-up warm or at room temp. Spoon extra syrup over cake & serve with ice cream.
