Ingredients

  • 2

    cups all purpose flour

  • 1

    cup salt

  • 1

    cup warm water

Directions

Cover work surface with paper towel. In mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add water, 1/4 cup at a time, stirring with wooden spoon and adding additional water if necessary. Turn dough out onto work surface and knead until smooth, pliable dough is formed. Using rolling pin, roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cut out snowflake shapes, use drinking straw to put hole (for hanging ribbon) through one point of snowflake. Using spatula, transfer shapes to parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake at 300F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until dough is dry and hard but not brown. Cool completely. Paint snowflakes white; let paint dry. Decorate with glitter glue as desired. Thread length of ribbon through hole; knot at top to form hanging loop.
