Nori Tsukudani

Ingredients

  • 4 sheets nori
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 cup shoyu
  • 1 tbsp ajinomoto

Preparation

Step 1

Toast nori lightly.
Break into small pieces.
Put nori in pot and add water, shoyu, sugar, and salt, mixing well.
Simmer over low heat for 4-5 hours.
Add ajinomoto just before removing from heat.
Pour into jars and seal.
