Pasta with Beef & Spicy Garlic Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 9-ounce package refrigerated tomato or red sweet pepper
- linguine or fettuccine
- 1 small yellow summer squash or zucchini, halved lengthwise
- and sliced
- 1 medium green sweet pepper, cut into bite-size strips
- 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 8 ounces beef top loin steak, cut 3/4 inch thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 6 cloves garlic, minced

Step 1
Cook pasta according to package directions, adding summer squash and sweet pepper the last 2 minutes of cooking; drain. Return pasta and vegetables to saucepan.
Meanwhile, rub black pepper onto both sides of steak. In a large skillet heat oil. Cook steak in hot oil over medium heat to desired doneness, turning once. (Allow 10 to 12 minutes for medium doneness.) Remove meat from skillet.
For sauce, stir broth, wine, and garlic into skillet. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Remove skillet from heat. Cut steak into thin bite-size strips. Pour sauce over pasta mixture; add steak slices. Toss gently to combine. Transfer pasta-meat mixture to a warm serving platter.
