Ingredients

  • 2

    Cups flour

  • 1 1/2

    tsp baking powder

  • 1

    tsp cinnamon

  • 1/8

    tsp salt

  • 1/2

    cups unsalted butter

  • 1/2

    cups firmly packed brown sugar

  • 1/2

    cups sugar

  • 1

    Tbsp espresso powder

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1

    cup coarsley chopped walnuts

  • 1

    cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Sift flour, baking powder,cinnamon, salt Mix until light and fluffy the butter, sugar ,and espresso powder Mix in eggs one at a time, beat until light and fluffy Reduce speed to low and add walnuts and chocolate chips Add flour mixture and mix until incoporated Divide dough in half With floured hands, shape into 2 logs Bake for 25 minutes or until logs are firm to the touch Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes Using serrated knife cut the log into slices about 1/2 inch thick Arrange slices cut side down on baking sheet Bake 8-10 minutes depending on how you like them Remove from oven turn slices over and continue baking for 8-10 minutes
