Ingredients
- for topping:
- 1 box Special K cereal
- 1 Cup sugar
- 1 Cup Karo syrup
- 1-1 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 package milk chocolate chips
- 1 package butterscotch chips
Preparation
Step 1
On stove top, melt sugar, Karo syrup and peanut butter over medium low heat until creamy.
Pour half of cereal into a large bowl, cover with half of the peanut butter mixutre, stir well. Add more cereal and more peanut butter mixture, stirring until all mixed.
Butter a 13x9 inch pan. Pour slightly cooled cereal mixture into pan and press flat with buttered fingers.
Put chocolate and butterscotch chips into microwave safe bowl and microwave in 20-second intervals until melted. Stir until smooth. Pour melted chip frosting over top of cereal mixture and smooth. Cool and cut into squares.
