Flan, Cream Cheese Flan

Ingredients

  • 3.4 Cup sugar
  • 1 12-oz can Evap. Milk
  • 1 14-oz can Sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 8-oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Heat sugar in small saucepan over medium high heat until dissolved and caramel-colored. Quickly pour into bottom of 2-qt casserole dish

Place evap. milk, sweetened condensed milk, cream cheese, eggs, and vanilla in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Pour mixture into prepared caserole dish. PLace casserole in 13x9 baking dish; fill baking dish with warm water to 1-inch depth.

Bake for 1 hr and 20 to 30 minutes, or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Remove flan from hot water; cool to room temperature in casserole on wire rack. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Run knife around rim; gently shake to loosen. Invert onto serving dish.
