Dip meat in broth for as long as it takes to say Shabu-shabu at which point meat will be cooked. Vegetables may take longer.

Drench meat and veggies in Mizutaki Sauce and eat.

Ingredients

  • Mizutaki Sauce:
  • Beef tenderloin, partialy frozen
  • thinly sliced vegetables of your choice
  • beef broth flavored to your liking
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbl rice wine vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 3/4 cup salad oil
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbls each soy sauce and mirin or dry sherry
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth

Preparation

Step 1

Thinly slice beef tenderloin and place on tray with thinly sliced vegetables.

Heat beef broth in table top wok

Prepare Mizutaki Sauce:
In a blender combine first 4 ingredients and whirl until smooth

With blender on high gradually add 3/4 cup more salad oil. Pour into a bowl and stir in sour cream, soy sauce, mirin and chicken broth

Makes 1-1/4 cups
