Ingredients

  • 4 quarts popped popcorn
  • 1 C. brown sugar
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 1/4 C. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 - 4 quarts popcorn popped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, margarine, syrup and salt in a 1 1/2 qt. dish. Bring to a boil, then cook a minute long on full power. Remove from microwave and stir in soda. put popped corn into brown grocery bag, pour syrup over popcorn. Close bag and shake. Microwave in bag, on high for 1 minute. Shake and cook 1 minute. Shake and cook 1 more minute. Pour out of bag immediately and cool. The popcorn will be perfectly coated and crunchy.
