Ingredients
- 2/3 cup onion, minced
- 2 tbsp. margarine or butter
- 3 lbs. of chicken thighs
- 1/2 tbsp. hungarian paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 6 tbsp. flour
- 1 medium green pepper, seeded and chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Heat margarine in a 5 qt. dutch oven, add onion, cover and cook slowly until onion is very soft. Do not brown. Add chicken and tomato, cover and cook 10 minutes longer. Stir in paprika, chicken broth, salt and pepper, cover and cook over gentle heat for half an hour. Remove cover and combine flour and sour cream, blend well and add to sauce. Correct seasoning, cover and simmeruntil chicken is done. Garnish with bell pepper.
