Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
Step 1
Thoroughly chream shortening, sugars, and vanilla.
Beat in egg, then 1 tbsp water.
Sift together dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, blending well.
Stir in rolled oats, chocolate chips and walnuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet about 2" apart.
Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes.
