Jalapeno Citrus Swordfish with Avocado Salsa

Delicious and moist swordfish dish that is perfect for grilling. Developed for Mom on Mother's Day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, sliced into rounds
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 vidalia onion, chopped
  • 1 large avocado, cubed
  • 2 large swordfish steaks

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place swordfish steaks in a glass baking pan. Combine all juices in a small bowl, then pour 3/4 of juice mixture over swordfish as marinade. Add 3/4 of the minced garlic and all jalapeno slices, coating steaks with each. Set aside and allow to marinade, 1 hour.
2. Place reserved garlic with reserved juices in a small bowl. Add tomato, onion, and avocado to reserved juices. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Grill swordfish, serve with avocado mix on top.
