• 2 cups self rising flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup shortening soft
• 1 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 large eggs

preheat oven two 375f grease two 8 inch round cake pans sift together flour and sugar into bowl add shortening milk and vanilla beat until smooth about two minutes add eggs beat two min longer pour batter into pans.
