Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup light cream
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 8 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced in wedges
- 1-1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup cold butter
- Toffee Sauce
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup light cream

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.
Gradually stir in cream and lemon juice.
Toss apples in cream mixture.
Spoon into pan.
Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
Spread over apples and pat down lightly.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
To make toffee sauce:
Combine ingredients in saucepan.
Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
Simmer until thickened.
