Ingredients

  • For Garnish:
  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 lb roll of pork breakfast sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped (optional)
  • 2 packages of Brooks Chili Seasoning
  • 1 28 oz can of tomato sauce or diced tomatoes in juice, your choice
  • 1 30.5 oz can of Brooks Chili Hot Beans (must be the hot ones, the mild will be too bland)

Preparation

Step 1

Brown the pork and beef together in a dutch oven over medium heat along with onion, if using. Do not drain the mixture after browning, simply add in the chili seasonings, tomatoes and beans. Cover and allow to simmer at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
